That is a great and important question!
Generally speaking we don’t recommend supplements because our bodies are designed to get nutrients as whole packages in food, not as broken out pieces that a company decided they could sell for profit.
There are two exceptions: B12 and Vitamin D.
The human body can make Vitamin B12 BUT it needs a bacteria that comes from soil. We live such sterile lives (which is good – keeps us from getting sick) that we don’t any of that bacteria. We’ve talked often on our Facebook live videos that Vitamin B12 is one supplement ALL vegans and WFPB eaters should take. The recommended dose is about 2000mcg cyanocobalamin once a week. Whatever brand is cheapest is fine.

We also take a Vitamin D in the winter months because there is no way for our bodies to get enough sun to make the Vitamin D we need. Now that spring is here (well at least almost), we will stop taking Vitamin D until next fall.
Thank you for your question!
