Not only am I trying to eat WFPB, but trying to avoid foods I’m allergic to at the same time. I’m probably about 80% WFPB at this point. And, I’ve eliminated nearly all animal-based proteins from my diet.
The thing that is tough for me (and maybe for others, too) is that I don’t want to make a fuss. I want to sit down and order, knowing the food I choose will not make me feel ill. When possible, I look for the menu items online before I get to a restaurant. I often ask for an allergy menu or look for items listed vegan.
I am often frustrated by the lack of knowledge from staff and lack of care/concern for my dietary needs at most restaurants. That’s why I always carry back up food in my bag, just in case.
